Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Shireen Mazari today has said that the Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, did not bother to comment on Safoora massacre as reported by NNI.
Mazari gave her statement in reaction to Nisar’s press conference earlier today.
She said that as the Interior Minister, Nisar should have paid a visit to Karachi and not his constituency. She said that no progress has been made after National Action Plan was formed to counter terrorism. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has achieved its goals and people could see the positive changes after PTI came in power, she added.
She said that the KP Police have evolved out of political pressures and the institution is de-politicized now. The spokesperson said that appointments in police in political grounds have been terminated. She said that Nisar should pay a visit to KP. to witness the change there.
Mazari said that PTI wants fair elections in the country. No party would dare to rig the polls from now on, she added. She said that a judicial commission has been formed to probe rigging in elections for the first time in country’s history. She said that PTI would accept the commission’s verdict.
