ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has finally devised a strategy to deal with the independence march called by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on August 14, according to local TV channel.
According to details, all the fuel station at GT road will remain close while Lahore-Islamabad motorway will also be closed for any kind of traffic on August 14.
Sources told that local bus stands of all the districts and the metropolitan city will also remain shut, so that no bus or wagon could reach Islamabad.
In addition to this, all the link roads connecting different districts to Lahore and Islamabad will also be forced-shut for all kinds of vehicles.
The closure of fuel-pumps and different roads will take effect from the night preceding August 14.
Moreover, it was reported that a crackdown on active PTI leaders and workers in Islamabad and its suburbs is also expected on August 12, as the police has already prepared the lists of influential PTI members.
On the other hand, PTI has said it time and again that it would not abandon the independence march, come what may.
Yesterday, PTI leader Javed Hashmi had also vowed to face the first bullet fired at the protesters, in case of a march. He had mentioned that his party will fully oppose any move of suppressing the long march.
