Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Qasim Ali Khan Mosque called meeting on sunday

PESHAWAR: According to private TV channel, the unofficial Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Qasim Ali Khan Mosque has convened its meeting today (Sunday) for sighting of Eid-ul-Fitr moon.

The mosque, known for its own declarations regarding Eid moon sighting in sheer neglect of the official Ruet-e-Hilal Committee whose proclamations regarding Eid are followed across the country, will too keep its tradition this year.

More than 20 ulema will take part in the Ruet body meeting to be presided over by Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai. The meeting will kick off after Iftar (breaking of the fast) and continue till night.

Evidences regarding sighting of a crescent will be received by the unofficial Ruet body.

On the other hand, the meeting of official Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to be headed by Mufti Muneebur Rehman has been summoned tomorrow for Eid moon sighting.
