Jamaat Islami (JI) Ameer Siraj ul Haq  resigned

Peshawar—Seasoned parliamentarian and Jamaat Islami (JI) Ameer Siraj ul Haq Wednesday resigned from the Khyber Pukhtunkhwa cabinet. Siraj was holding the position of senior minister KP and all important finance minister. Siraj ul Haq, who was elected JI Amir a few months back, sighted reasons for his resignation to devote maximum time to the Jamaat activities. 

According to reports, Siraj ul Haq has sent his resignation to Chief Minister Pervez Khattak. 

Siraj ul Haq, after his election as Ameer of the JI was expected to resign from the KP cabinet of which JI is the partner. He, however, decided to carry on reportedly on the request of PTI chief Imran Khan and the chief minister Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak who wanted him to continue as finance minister for presenting budget for 2014-15 in the provincial assembly since he had to his credit the presenting of provincial budget many times before in the MMA government in the capacity of Finance minister and specially for raising his voice for early release of the KP arrears under hydle net profit
