KARACHI: Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain has demanded for the formation of a national government in the country, as reported by local channels.
Altaf Hussain presented this demand during a television interview. He said that few elements are trying to distort the image of the military.
Hussain appealed all the stake-holders to make efforts for saving the state, adding further, “If I were in place of the premier, I had resigned until now”.
The MQM chief regretted the fact that the elected prime minister of the country made false statement before the parliament.
He said, “The statement came at a time when the country is facing a political crisis and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) have been staging sit-ins against the government, for past two weeks”.
