26 Girls recover from Karachi

KARACHI- Police said that they had recovered 26 underage girls during a raid in Karachi, late Tuesday night as repaired by ONLINE.
Acting on a tip-off from neighbors, police conducted the raid at a house in Liaquabad and recovered the minor girls. All the girls, aged between 8 and 10, were brought to Karachi from Bajaur Agency. They cannot even speak Urdu, a police officer told. He said that two women were detained for questioning.

It is not yet clear why the girls were brought to Karachi, but one woman told police that girls were being kept at her house to pay off debt. The raid also coincided with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
